What is Pickelball?
Racket sport that combines elements of tennis, paddle tennis, badminton and ping pong. Easy to learn, fast-paced, very fun to play and suitable for all types of players regardless of their age, condition, skills or fitness
Brief History
Created in the United States during the summer of 1965 on Bainbridge Island, near Seattle, by Congressman Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, Jordan Steranka and Barney McCallum. During the 70s, it went from being an activity originally familiar to a racket sport with formal rules. In the early years, the pickleball was practiced by families in their backyards on a hard surface, on the street or in any other place where they could find a flat surface.
Today the pickleball is played in schools, clubs and sports centers in different countries around the world, where the United States stands out for its importance, where it is considered the fastest growing sport of recent years.
What is needed to play?
Simple and economical equipment. It does not require specific facilities, being able to take advantage of those already existing in most sports clubs and schools
